About This Course
The Emerald Mini-Stay Programmes are offered between the months of September and June and are designed for groups of young learners and school groups with their teachers. Mini-Stay programmes at the Emerald Cultural Institute are often tailored to the specific needs of the group.
The Mini-Stay Programmes encourage students to develop their language skills in a natural, everyday context. We offer two types of programme: our Standard Mini-Stay Programmes and our more specialised Mini-Stay Plus Programmes.
Academic options available include:
- English and examination preparation
- English for the workplace
- English and Irish culture and/or literature
Mini-Stay Plus Programme options include:
- English for the workplace plus agriculture/agritourism
- English for the workplace plus sustainable environment
- English plus hospitality and tourism

In this programme, students will be able to
Develop practical English skills through a programme adapted to the group’s level, interests and learning objectives.
Improve Everyday English
Develop practical language skills and use English more naturally in familiar, everyday situations.
Communicate with Confidence
Build confidence participating in lessons, sharing ideas and interacting with teachers and classmates.
Communicate with Confidence
Develop English through a selected focus such as examination preparation, the workplace, Irish culture, sustainability or tourism.
Connect Language and Culture
Use English to explore Irish culture and connect classroom learning with the group’s selected Dublin experiences.
